I thought this talk was sooo weird. Mary J. Blige spoke so little. Made me feel so uncomfortable to see her skipped over and not be asked more questions, not even requested to elaborate more on what she thought or had experienced when finally given the chance to talk. Jessica was having to do the moderator's job by first bringing her into the conversation (simply asking for her point of view in general, not very hard to do) and then second inquiring further on whether Mary felt she had to develop a tomboy look for herself to protect herself.

Even at the end when others were given more time to talk and comment on the quotes they remember from their films, she said her quote and that was it.
"Love is a kind of survival. -Florence Jackson" -- Mary
    "Interesting. That's great." --Weird Moderator
Annnnnnd no further questioning or commenting on what she or others thought about it. Instead, straight to Emma. That last part just made me want yell, "Fuck man. Listen to her!"
I still liked the talking points in general, but mannn. Get a moderator who is more knowledgeable in directing to conversations that matter.

Um, no. It doesn't happen as much in the real world as it does where men control the wealth and fame of someone because they make the decision who will get that gold ring. Nowhere else except Hollywood (all encompassing the field) because where else could a woman go to fulfill that dream. Jennifer, you are slightly muddled and deluded about that because it came so quickly to you.

Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone have alot of chemistry need to do a movie together, on side note: Battle of the Sexes scene: "I am the main breadwinner of the family" hit me hard, so many young woman support their families nowadays working for the minimum pay. Life is hard and I am so humbled to know how hard women fight and work for their values.

Women are still being subjugated to men in everything and not always in a sexual way. Women, in the same kinds of employment, are still paid less. Women in sports are dismissed by many as being either unnecessary or inferior to male sports. Those who denigrate women’s sports are comparing them to men and are failing to understand they are comparing “apples to oranges.” Being around strong women and having once reported to a female supervisor who was the best leader I ever worked for I developed a respect for women and have championed their causes for decades. People are people regardless of their sex and need to be judged for their values and not by their gender.

Feel like the beginning of the interview was a bit too much of a topic to start off with. Good points brought up, great set of amazing women, interesting conversations. Wrong host/interviewer for this panel. Its funny how Hollywood Reporter would be so oblivious to how to conduct this particular interview topics and who should do it. It is really frustrating to see these episodes center on the Me Too movement, which is a necessary conversation to be had, when these women are in the midst of pivotal moments of their career. There are so many other things that they can provide valid input on and I feel like this is unnecessary. Like if this was a series targeted specifically on that topic I would understand but this does not happen with the men. Can we, for a second, focus on the conglomerate of talent and inspiration in the room? They are more than the inequalities they face, their success is not as a result of that. Don't just begin there and stay there the entire time. They have so much more to offer and they don't owe us their trauma. PLEASE lol. *steps off soap-box*

Something happen to Jennifer and she dont want to talk right now. I really suport thst, like Emma Stone says, everyone has they own time and we just have to respect that. #MeToo movement is about respect too. So, speak when you can do it. Almost every woman in the world suffer arrasment from man. Being girls, being womans, it s just a fact.
More power for woman and less abusse of power for everyone. And hope justice put man in their place when this things happen.

You talk about making a change in the entertainment industry to stop sexual abuse, what about racism that's probably the biggest abuse ,and your still partaking in it even in this interview, I don't think I'll be the only person watching to notice that you went round the table and spoke to every white woman first, completely missing the black woman, she's in that room with you , and her opinion is of equal value to all the other women.
Instead of focusing only on sexual abuse why not stop racism which has gone on for far longer

Even if not about sexual harassment and power, abuse of power is ALWAYS going to be around. There are abuses of power in businesses, jobs, sports, etc. that happen and will continue to happen regardless of whether it is about gender relationships. So, yes I hope that gender-based harassment and abuse will lessen but I am afraid general abuse is an age-old and timeless dynamic.

About 5 years ago, I was fired from my job at the Sheriffs Department as a 911 dispatcher because I reported being sexually harassed by a coworker. They did everything afterwards to make it impossible for me to get on as a dispatcher (even 5 years later) at any of the surrounding areas. It destroyed me and my passion to work in law enforcement since I was a young girl. The harsh reality that I was denied justice by the ones who were put in the position to fight for it. He got a slap on the hand and I got fired. Now here I am, 5 years later & was sexually assaulted by a friends brother recently. I didn’t tell anyone at first because I was afraid of not being believed. Now that I’ve told my friend, her brother is constantly threatening me and has now fled the state. I haven’t gone to law enforcement because of how I was treated by our sheriffs department before. I am scared of not having justice again and of being belittled. I’m not sure I could handle that again.

well, that might be because they agreed to speak out about that subject primarily, then because the audience is more interested in the female point of view on this subject rather than the male opinion. Or they, the actresses themselves, requested it.
However, I think is cute for you saying that men should speak and give more their opinion on this subject.

This roundtable just pissed me off - this is why I NEED TO GET INTO THE INDUSTRY!!! AND MORE EDUCATED, STRONG, ASSERTIVE, DIRECT, REAL-ASS BLACK women like me. Because no one should be invited to a CONVERSATION to be skipped. I would have handled him in front of the camera or off, depending.
This channel and it's producers used THEE Mary J. Blige as clickbait and treated her like a fish out of water. How dare you ! Why can't a round table full of actresses be moderated by another woman ? Like who is this ill-mannered, underdressed, goofy-acting, interviewing-wannabe, ugly..everything...random white dude thinking he can moderate a ROUND table full of beautiful actressess and then treat the table like is it some racial pyramid order to it ??? Bahahahaa You are fired.
I am very happy that Ms. Mary J took the classy route she did because "when they go low, we go high" - God is going to handle him and the producers for her.
And no, random white moderator reading this, you do not have haters. You have people calling you out on your racially-motivated, highly-overrated BULLSHIT. 👍🏼
